Entry 4: Looking for Alaska
My sister and I were looking at the list of books that I could choose for my summer reading project and when she saw Looking for Alaska she told me I needed to read it because she read it in high school and loved it. Also we already had the book at home. My attention was drawn to the book Looking for Alaska because my favorite type of books to read is fiction and also this book has won an award so I thought it must be very good.
A personal connection I could make is how Pudge moved schools and didn't know anyone but then ended up being best friends with all of them. When I switched dance studios the same thing happened to me but now we are all so close.
I would recommend one of my friends from another school named Catherine to read this book because she loves to read books that are somewhat sad. Catherine feels this way because she always feels like there is something in her life even if it was in the present or past that she is able to relate to the book with. I think anyone that likes sad books should read Looking for Alaska. It has been one of my favorite books!
